Why This Role Is Different
This isn't a juggling act. You'll work consistently in one
location with the same client and the same team. That means genuine continuity,
real relationships, and the time to truly understand your client's needs.
Our client is a young person who loves music, nursery
rhymes, cartoons like Peppa Pig and Cocomelon, being read to, and trips to the
cinema. We're looking for carers who are warm, patient, engaging — and don't
mind joining in with the occasional singalong.
The Role
You'll be part of a 2:1 care team in the client's home. An
experienced Complex Care Assistant will lead on the clinical aspects of care,
while you provide dedicated support with daily living activities, moving and
handling, and ensuring the client remains safe, comfortable, and happy.
What You'll Be Doing
• Providing dedicated support as part of a 2:1 team within
the client's home
• Delivering personal care with dignity and respect
• Supporting with moving and handling
• Assisting with daily routines and activities
• Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
• Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns
• Completing accurate care documentation
• Working closely with family members and healthcare
professionals
Clinical Care
Don't worry if you're new to these clinical tasks — full
paid specialist training is provided through Routes Academy. Your
responsibilities may include:
• Tracheostomy care
• Ventilation support
• PEG feeding
• Medication administration
• Clinical observations
What We're Looking For

• Previous experience with tracheostomy care, ventilation,
or PEG feeding
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
Please note: This is a female-only position due to the
client's personal care needs, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Routes
Healthcare do not offer sponsorship.
